House Cleaning Services in Melbourne
An hourly rate tells you what a cleaner costs per hour. It does not tell you what the clean will cost.
We price by the home instead. A three bedroom house is $310 including GST, with four cleaner hours behind it. Weekly, fortnightly or one-off, with a photo report when we finish.
- Fixed price, published before you book
- Cleaner hours stated for every home size
- Our cleaners don't leave until you're happy with the work
What does a regular house clean in Melbourne cover?
Kitchens, bathrooms, bedrooms and living areas. Floors, surfaces and the touch points in between. It is upkeep work on a schedule, so the house never falls far enough behind to need rescuing.
We sell a finished house with a stated hour allowance behind it, not an open-ended block of hours.
This is not a deep clean. Ovens, carpets, windows and built-up grime sit outside a routine visit and are booked separately.
For a first clean on a neglected home see deep and spring cleaning in Melbourne. For a move-out, see end of lease cleaning.
Weekly, fortnightly or one-off?
Most Melbourne homes land on fortnightly. Here is when the others make sense.
What is included in a standard clean?
The same list every visit, so nothing quietly drops off it.
Condensation collects on window reveals through a Melbourne winter, and that is often where mould starts in a bathroom or a bedroom.
How does a clean work if you are not home?
Most of our Melbourne customers are at work when we arrive.

Why does a Melbourne home need a different clean through the year?
Melbourne has a long shut-in winter and a heavy pollen spring. Both change what actually needs doing inside a house.
- May to September. Ducted heating pushes dust through the whole house, and condensation sits on window reveals. Bathrooms and reveals need more attention than they do in January
- October to December. Victoria's grass pollen season. Pollen comes in on shoes and through open windows and settles on floors and sills
- West and north growth corridors. Homes in Tarneit, Craigieburn and Wollert sit near active building sites. Fine dust comes in through every opening
- Inner suburbs. Period homes have polished boards and deep skirtings. Dust shows within days, so weekly suits them better
We shift the emphasis with the season rather than running the same list all year.
What should you check before booking a cleaner in Melbourne?
Four things worth knowing before you book anyone.
House cleaning in Melbourne with the price fixed before we arrive
An hourly quote gives you a rate, not a total. If the house takes longer than expected, the bill grows with it.
Our Melbourne rates are published by home size and they include GST. A three bedroom house is $310. That is agreed in writing before anyone walks in. It does not move because the job ran long.
Cleaner hours, so you know what you are actually buying
Three cleaner hours from a team of two is ninety minutes on the clock, not three. That difference is where quote comparisons often go wrong.
We publish the cleaner hours sitting behind every price. A three bedroom home carries four of them, so you can put our fixed number against an hourly quote and actually compare the two.
A Melbourne winter clean is not a Melbourne summer clean
Houses here stay shut for months. Ducted heating moves dust through every room and condensation settles on window reveals, which is where bathroom mould usually starts.
Through winter we put more time into wet areas, window reveals and heating vent faces. Through the October to December pollen season the emphasis shifts to floors and soft surfaces instead, where pollen settles.
Honest about the first clean
A home that has gone six months or more without a professional clean needs more than a regular visit. Booking it as one means running out of hours with the bathrooms half done.
We quote that first visit for what it actually is, then drop to the standard rate once the house is in maintenance mode. It works out cheaper than paying for repeat catch-up visits that never quite get there.
What backs a cleaner in your Melbourne home?
You are handing over keys. Here is what sits behind that.

What do people ask about house cleaning in Melbourne?
How much does house cleaning cost in Melbourne?
Our Melbourne rates run from $155 for a studio or one bedroom up to $469 for a five bedroom home, including GST. They are fixed by home size rather than charged by the hour, so the number you see is the number you pay. A first clean on a home that has been left a while is quoted separately.
How long does it take to clean a three bedroom house?
Four cleaner hours, which is two people for about two hours. Cleaner hours are total crew hours rather than clock time, which matters when you compare quotes. A larger home or extra bathrooms will push it out.
Do I need to be home during the clean?
No. Most of our Melbourne customers are at work when we arrive. A photo report lands after the visit so you can see the finished house before you walk into it.
Do I need to supply cleaning products or a vacuum?
No. We bring every product and every piece of equipment, including the vacuum and the mop. If you would rather we used something specific of yours, leave it out and let us know.
What is the difference between a regular clean and a deep clean?
A regular clean keeps a house in maintenance mode. A deep clean goes after built-up grime and the areas a routine visit never reaches. It includes inside appliances and takes a lot longer. If your home has not been cleaned professionally in six months or more, start with a deep clean and move to regular visits after.
Is weekly or fortnightly better?
Fortnightly suits most Melbourne homes. Weekly suits families and pets. It also suits inner-suburb houses with polished floorboards, where dust shows within days. Through the October to December pollen season some households move to weekly and go back afterwards.
Will the first clean cost more?
Usually yes, if the house has been left a while. We quote that visit for what it is rather than taking the standard booking and running out of hours with the bathrooms half done. After the first visit the published rate applies.
Do you clean apartments as well as houses?
Yes, including CBD, Southbank and Docklands buildings. Tell us if your building needs a loading dock booking or lift access arranged and we will work to that. Apartments are priced on bedrooms the same way houses are.
We stay until it's right
Our cleaners don't leave until you're happy with the work. For end of lease cleans, if you're not satisfied and tell us within 72 hours, we come back and re-clean.
